IMPROGRESSIVE'S
LIVE MUSIC, VISUAL DESIGN AND IMPROVISATION
Improgressive's performances are a combination of composed and improvised music, in some way closer to jazz and progressive rock. The music is oriented to the organisation of sounds in real time, instant compositions created through deep listening. Fronted by Maurizio Morello and Paolo Battaglia the duo collaborate with visual designer Giampiero Carta in the creation of their live performances, the collaboration ensures a live performance experience that is captivating visually and mentally.
Over the years the band have collaborated with Keith Tippett (Piano) Stefano Maltese (Saxophone), Woodwinds and Flute
Jimmy Weinstein (Drums) Giorgio Occhipinti (Piano) Enzo Di Raimondo (Drums) Francesco Cusa (Drums) Paolo Sorge (Guitars)
Bruno Morello (Saxophone) Anna Ventimiglia (Flute)
Arvo Pärt (Composer) and Antonio Moncada (Drums)
Performing nationally and internationally the group have worked in Europe and American at festivals such as the “Jazz Carnival Festival” in Odessa (Ukraine), Carnegie Hall (New York) and Noto Jazz Festival (Italy).
